The Las Vegas Convention Center District Project is a major expansion and renovation of the Las Vegas Convention Center to accommodate current customer needs and capture future trade show opportunities.
Phase One of the program was completed in January 2017 and included the acquisition of the Riviera Hotel property, the subsequent demolition of all structures associated with the hotel and the development of an outdoor exhibit space and parking area for the LVCVA’s trade show customers.
Phase Two will include the development of a new exhibit hall and its ancillary spaces on the existing LVCC Gold Lot and the Riviera Hotel property.
Phase Three will be the renovation of the existing Convention Center.
Cordell Corporation is managing the project as the LVCVA’s Owner Representative.
The LVCVA’s Evaluation Team has determined the following shortlist of Firms/Teams are qualified to move forward to Step Two of the selection process for the Prospective Designer for the LVCC District Phase Two Expansion.

Of special note, and as allowed in the provisions of the RFQ, the LVCVA’s Evaluation Team has waived the provision in RFQ #4478 Section 2 – General Terms and Conditions, Item 1 – Introduction “….the Authority will establish a shortlist of no more than five (5) Prospective Design Firms/Teams to be invited to submit a proposal for the Project”. The Evaluation Team has identified six (6) Firms/Teams to move forward to the next step in the process.
